Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief



Trouble-prone Percy Jackson is having problems in high school-but that's the least of his challenges. It's the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus seem to have walked out og the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life. Percy has learned that his real father is Poseidon, god of the sea, which means Percy is a demigod-half human, half god. At the same time, Zeus, the king of all gods, has accused Percy of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, the original weapon of mass destruction.

Now, Percy must prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, and the stakes couldn't be higher.

With ominous storm clouds brewing over the planet and his own life now in peril, Percy travels to a special enclave called Camp Half Blood, where he trains to harness his newly discovered powers and prevent a devastating war among the gods. There, Percy meets two fellow demigods- the warrior Annabeth, who is searching for her mother, the goddess Athena; and his childhood friend and protector, Grover, who is actually a brave but untested Satyr.

Grover and Annabeth then join Percy on an incredible transcontinental odyssey that takes them six hundred stories above New York City (the portal to Mount Olympus) and to the ironic Hollywood sign, under which burn the fires of the Underworld. At journey's end rests the fate of the world-and the life of Percy's mother Sally, whom Percy must rescue from the depths of Hell itself.

From Paris With Love

I have planned to watch Dear John, which is throw Avatar away from top box office, last week. But the movie haven't come out here. So, with stress-full, no snack, no mineral water, got money from Arisan ( I don't know the English of it), and of course all alone, I watched this movie.

I really watch this movie because of the setting, Paris. I hope they show how beautiful it is. And also car chase, a smart dialog, just like another action movie that I watch before. Yes, I look forward is same like The Bourne Trology even though it is a different movie. The fact is less than it. Why Chinese and Pakistani more dominant than Frenchman? And I sure Eiffel tower is not only most popular place in Paris. But I can accept it when I realize the story is about terrorist.

When Caroline wearing suicide vests, I giggled because it reminds me with what Noordin M Top's brides did it before. The other funny thing is when I listened to radio and the announcer said that this movie is for celebrating Valentine's Day. Make sure to read the summary first, darling.

By the way, I not say that it's a worst movie, although some people say it. It's just out from what I wanted.

I have no idea with this closing song. I think I missed it.

Paris

Kepalaku menoleh.
" Kenapa harus Paris?" tanyaku bingung " Kenapa bukan . ."
" Jerman?" Tebakannya sangat tepat.
" Iya. Kenapa?"
" Cepat tidur" suruhnya acuh tak acuh " Kamu harus bangun sangat pagi besok. Benar, kan? Kesempatan untuk menghabiskan setengah hari dengan hanya tidur tidak ada lagi"
" Hei, kenapa kamu mengalihkan topik?" aku menarik selimut, menolak bantuannya, dengan kesal " Dan kembali ke topik awal, kenapa ke Paris?"
Dia memandangku dalam diam dan mengusapkan jarinya ke pipiku.
" Karena aku dan kau menginginkannya"
" Aku tak pernah berkata begitu"
Dia terkekeh " Adakah yang menghapus memori di otakmu sehingga kamu merasa tak pernah mengatakan hal itu?"
" Tentu saja tidak"
" Sebenarnya aku agak berharap" nadanya menjadi serius " Mungkin aku bisa dihapus dari pikiranmu"
Aku menegang dan rasanya wajahku panas. Apalagi bagian mata. Rasa sedih tiba-tiba saja datang.
" Ngg-nggak . . "
" Semua akan lebih mudah bukan?" senyumnya tidak menunjukan rasa senang sedikitpun " Kamu tak perlu menyia-nyiakan waktu tidurmu dengan menangis diam-diam karena benda mati ini . ."
" Nggak!"
Kehilangan dia adalah salah satu impianku selain kematian. Selalu ku coba. Tapi tidak saat ini.
" Kenapa?" kini senyum itu terlihat mengejek " Semester barumu datang besok"
Aku memejamkan mata, menahan air mata rapat-rapat.
" Kamu ingin 100 persen konsen dengan kuliahmu dan mungkin saja kamu menemukan anak luar kota lain setelah . ."
" Lalu sebulan kemudian aku kembali!!" jeritku " Kamu tak tahu betapa kesepiannya aku"
" Kau pikir aku tidak?" dimatanya terlihat rasa sakit yang dalam " Ku pikir kamu akan pindah. Tapi ternyata tetap disini dan bertingkah seakan kita tak saling mengenal"
Lalu aku benar-benar menangis. Dia hanya menghela nafas.
" Aku seperti mayat hidup waktu itu. Menjalani hari seakan semua baik-baik saja. Aku memaksakan diri dengan orang-orang baru yang belum tentu maksudnya. Dan lagi . . "
Aku terus saja mengicau sampai sadar saat aku dipelukannya.
" Sudahlah. Sekarang waktunya tidur. Kurasa kamu bisa tidur nyenyak walau hanya menangis sebentar"
" Apa?"
Ternyata dia hanya mengodaku.
