Shutter Island is one of the movies are interesting enough from my friend's collection. Green Zone also there, but I'm not sure my other friends would love it. I'm not in the mood at the first time but the story made me drift.
" The film opens in 1954 as World War II veteran and current federal marshal Teddy Daniels and his new partner, Chuck, ferry to Shutter Island, a water-bound mental hospital housing the criminally insane. They have been asked to investigate the disappearance of Rachel Solando, a patient admitted to the asylum after she murdered her three children. As Teddy quizzes Dr. Cawley, the head of the institution, he begins to suspect that the authorities in charge might not be giving him the whole truth, and that a terrible fate may befall all the patients in spooky Ward C -- a unit devoted to the most heinous of the hospital's inmates. Complicating matters further, Teddy has a secret of his own -- the arsonist who murdered his wife is incarcerated on Shutter Island. Driven to confront his wife's killer, and stranded on the island because of a hurricane, Teddy must unravel the secrets of the eerie place before succumbing to his own madness. "
Do people in the island's crazy? Or actually Teddy's real name is Andrew and he is crazy? The other thing that more frightening is am I crazy? Those are the questions that I was thought of when the film towards to climax.
DiCaprio played very well here. He really became the center of attention. Other figures are only around him. The thoughts of the past or perhaps Teddy's imagination is part of my passion my favorite part. Each scene comes, get ready because it can helps you to know who Teddy is. And of course when they are at the lighthouse. How easy they work on someone's mind.
Other questions that arise after the film was finished is what these people tried make Teddy crazy? Maybe I will get that answer if you read the novel.
Or perhaps I even going crazy too.
