30 Books to Movies: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The book

This is the fouth years of Harry Potter's life after he knows that he is a witch. In the summer, Harry, Hermione Granger, and the Weasley family take a trip to the Quidditch World Cup. While there, Death Eaters, Voldemort's servants, storm the grounds, harass some muggles, and run away when they see the Dark Mark in the sky.

When they back to Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore announces during the welcoming feast that the school will host the Triwizard Tournament, an inter-school competition. One student from each of three magical schools will be chosen by the Goblet of Fire to compete. The other two magical institutions, Beauxbatons Academy, and Durmstrang Institute, arrive at Hogwarts two months into the school term. The champions chosen by the goblet were Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons, Viktor Krum of Durmstrang, and Cedric Diggory of Hogwarts. Mysteriously, Harry is also chosen, even though he did not submit his name. (source)
This is my favorite book from Harry Potter saga. The adventure, the history of Harry's past and also his romance are here. He grow up from a little boy to a man by complete the turnament tasks by himself. His friends, Hermione and Ron grow up too. It's funny to imagine how jealous Ron is XD
This book also shocked me when I read the part that Voldermort killed Cedric. The first murder. There is a joke when Rob Pattinson, who played as the late Cedric, got a role as Edward for Twilight. You have to thanks Voldermort to killed you. Because, if you still alive as Cedric, you can't meet Bella and sparkle :P
My favorite part is when Dumbledore feeds Moody Veritaserum, and they discover that "Moody" is actually Barty Crouch, Jr., who was smuggled out of Azkaban and was using a Polyjuice Potion to impersonate the real Alastor Moody.

The movie

Watch the trailer here

It's always fun to re-read the book, but not for re-watch the movie. I hate the movie. So many differences from the book and here. Of course, the differences are exist. Yet it destroy my own imagination and it's bad!
I watched it from YouTube and took a long time to finished it. They even don't connected well. Maybe because I watched it part by part with bad mood. Just Krum and Hermione's scene can please me a bit.
No Barty Crouch, Jr 's confession. Too bad.

I absogoodamnlutely choose the book than this.

Curious? watch it here.

The song
This song just appeared for less than minutes. Thanks to @haney07 for help me found this. She even gave me many possible links :D

Inception

Before watched this, my days was horrible. It is really hurts to read what people think about this movie. They especially talked about the ending. I planed to watch this when I went out last Monday. But someshitthing made it fail. I also swear to myself to watch it next day. It happened again. The third day, I almost late to buy the ticket but I got it! Then here we are.

Watch the trailer here.

The story is about Cobb who can steal the idea from someone's mind by get into dream. He works with Arthur. One day, Saito offer the job for him, but not to steal the idea but plant the idea. Cobb start to collect people to begin this mission. The challenge is not only how to plant the idea, but how they get out from many levels dream that they made self.

Amazing, but not really. Maybe my expectation is too high then before I watched, so I didn't get what I want. But it's truly amazing. In the same time, we face three different situations. Can you imagine that?

The story is extraordinary, the visualization is mesmerize and the ending is so so so so perfect! So far, I have no idea what's the minus point for this movie this time. The plus point for this is make me think hard and also contain with jokes.

My favorite scene is this.

Arthur also my favorite character here. I just watched (500) Days of Summer yesterday, so it not weird. He indirectly made me laughed.

Arthur: Quick, give me a kiss!
[She kisses him and then looks around]
Ariadne: Did that do anything?
Arthur: No. But it was worth a shot.

Do you understand what this movie talked about? Answer from me is yes. But I need more time to think about it. Replay again in my head and hope that in will appear in my dream. I also don't read any review from any movie bloggers or movie sites. Click here if you need more information. SPOILER ALERT! :P

And don't forget to read the comic, The Cobol Job. I'm so difficult to get it. I hope my head more dizzy after read that XD

(500) Days of Summer

I've been waiting quite long to watch it. Waited for the downloaded, actually. First, I watched it just 20 minutes. Second, just 41 minutes and finally watched the whole movie but I had to stay all night long. I think it's worth. I really love the movie!

I also love the posters!

The story is about Thomas Hensen, the boy that believes that he will find his happiness someday if he meet his soulmate. Mean while, lets meet Summer Finn, a girl who doesn't believe in love. It is not love, it is fantasy. They meet, Tom fall in love but Summer doesn't. Remember, this is not a love story. Watch the trailer here.

Like what I wrote up there, I loooove the movie so fucking bad! Although my friend said that "Uh, it's not worth to watch enough. I don't like the ending". Hey, who's care? The movie would be so ordinary if it ended as what you want.

I love Summer's style, I love her chuckle, I love the way she thinks about be independent and free woman. But wait, I love how Tom fight to get her back, I love his expectations though it against the reality, and I love his thought that someday we'll meet our soulmate and the happiness be mine.

It's like looks myself on the mirror. Face the problem that hanging around in my head everyday. Is he really my lover in the future? Should I keep fight to get him as mine? Well, well, well, this movies stucked long quite. But as always it's disappear when I get what I want even it's like killing myself softly. Love is blind, right?

My favorite scene is when they on lift together and talking about The Smiths.

I directly downloaded the soundtrack (forgive me again) and I love them, however so difficult to remember the lyrics and sing a long. I currently listening to them and guess when this song appear in the movie. Perhaps I would watch the movie again to check it.

By the way, I don't see this scene except on the trailer. What is it that I missing?

30 Books To Movies : The Tale of Despereaux

The book

The story is about Despereaux Tilling, a mouse. He's too small as a mouse and has a big ears. He likes read a book and fall in love with a princess who lives at the castle, Pea. He even talked to her. Because of it, the mouses council punish him by throw him underground to jail which is so dark and full of rats.

Meanwhile, in that darkness lives Roscuro, a rat who likes a light world. He ever go up stairs and smell how delicious is a soup. But suddenly he falls into the queen's soup and makes her dies. So t king makes the new rules that soup is an illegal food and the rats is a cruel animal. Roscuro's heart broke and he promise that someday he will revenge.

Then come a idiot girl, Miggery Sow. She has a simple dream yet impossible. She wants to be a princess. But no one ever hear what she wants. She meets Roscuro when she delivers a meal for a jail keeper. Roscuro invite Miggery to kidnapped Pea and then she becomes a real princess.

Despereaux hears it. This is the time to be a knight and safe the princess that he loves.

When started read it, I felt a little regret to bought it home. The story is for who's younger than me. I not excited to read it and just read it before go to bed and it's feels like a bed stories for me. However, the story made me stay to read more and more again. I love the story and how's it telling.

Despereaux, with all his failure teach a simple thing that important but easy to forget, be brave to get what you want. Another good point also can I get from Roscuro character. He's a rat, not good enough but he try to be different and better than another rats. I can feel how hurts the way he called as rat, but actually he is really a rat. But I don't like the way Miggery says "shucks!" at the beginning of her sentences. It's annoying. But that's the reason why she appear.

I like the way when the narrator explain about how delicious is soup. After finished read it, I suddenly wanted to eat soup and I cooked it. Although it is not good enough, hahaha.

The movie

Watch the trailer here.

Many differences at the movie. So I not really enjoy the movie at the first 30 minutes. Roscuro tells as a tourist and actually he's a good rat. He become a bad rat after he realizes how disgusting rats is on Pea's eyes. Yes, Pea is the princess that Despereaux loves. She's better here. In the book, she is so perfect. But here she has emotions and shows that she are sad, mad and happy. The differences also in the Miggery's past. Ah, I not really care of her. She still wants to be a princess. I admit that I prefer her in the book than here.

Princess Pea: What are you, a mouse?
Despereaux: No... I'm a gentleman.

That's the differences that I hate. Oh, in fact I found something better here. The story is more heroic in my opinion. Despereaux here is more brave, more curious and more cute. You have to watch when he fly. Yes, he can fly. He don't even has a wings but he has a very big ears!

Is the is a bed stories for me, the movie version is kinda a movie for holiday and just enjoy it. But I choose this that the book. Especially Despereaux fly here XD

The song

The soup thing not really important here. Despereaux even denied to taste it. What a bad mouse! But I cooked soup again after watch it.
